The 18 hole 6393 yard par 71 course was designed by
American course architect Bradford Benz to USGA specifications to make
the most of the natural contours of the valley. The course lies on chalk
which provides excellent drainage and this, together with the USGA greens,
results in a great combination for all year round play.
Players will decide for themselves what their favourite
holes are but for the shear beauty of it, the 4th and the 7th at the far end
of the course in the bowl of the valley takes some beating. The unusual
double 9th and 18th greens play out in front of the clubhouse and make for
interesting gallery watching while the stunning views high up on the 17th
tee invite you to linger longer than perhaps you should!
